IS YOUR RELIGION A RELIGION?
Many people
believe that a religion would benefit them with health, wealth, life
everlasting, peace, happiness, protection, love, and other personal or extra
ordinary relationship to the one that they believe all powerful supernatural
being or God/Gods.
So, religion
is an entity where a group of same people in a belief for a powerful God. They
may not be the same in what they believed or claim about their Gods, thus they grouped themselves together as a religion
to make an emphasis or distinction as their differences to other religions.
As a result we can classify their

Most
of those religions have basis to their faith and belief. It may be scripture or
inscription in any materials, a book, a figurine, or anything that strengthen
their belief because of those materials or spiritual things.
Then
we have to sort them out to give our discussion specific topic that may lead us
of who among them were telling the true religion base on their category.
Studies shows that Christianity who uses a books they called “bible” grab a
higher percentage among religions. So the number 3 in our groupings will be the
focus of our exploration in the world of religions…
WHAT WAS THE FIRST
RELIGION IN THE BIBLE?
The Christian
Bible has two compilations of many books, the Old Testament and the
New Testament. The Old Testament is the
original Hebrew Bible, the sacred scriptures of the Jewish faith, written
at different times between about 1200 and 165 BC. The New Testament books were written by Christians in the first century AD.
THE
CRITERION OF THE TRUE CHURCH IN A RELIGION BASED ON CHRISTIANITY
The true Christian religions demonstrate the

STANDARD ON CHRISTIAN RELIGION
1. Religion must be biblically based.

This
means that every teaching of their pastors must be based on the bible. It may
be any bible they choose. Sometimes other pastors prepares a bible they
believed has a better translation than other bible translations.
2. Religion helps people to know God and his
identity.

Aside
from bible based teachings, the associated pastor shall help people outside the
church to know God and His Name.
3. Religion must highlights Jesus Christ’s teaching as the one
through whom God grants salvation.

The
works and teachings of Jesus Christ and His disciple shall be the highlight of
belief
4. Religion focuses on God’s Kingdom.
·
The
promises of God to inherit His kingdom for the righteous people of God in
particular.
5. Religion must promote unselfish love.
·
Unselfish
love means extended love not only to those who loved you but to your enemy.
6. Religion respects for all ethnic groups, welcomes people from
all races and backgrounds.
·
They
extensively accommodate people from all walks of life.
7. Religion must
completely neutral in political affairs.
·
This
shall be expected to a true religion – not entangled to any political activities.
8. Religion is not just a ritual or a formality it must adhere to the
Bible’s high moral standards in all aspects of life.

All
members of that particular religion shall follow church moral standards based
on the bible.
9. Religion teachings in and out of the bible must be righteous as God.
·
The
law of the bible together with the law of the land must meet the terms.

All
members shall provide an open hand to the needy people.

to identify the real religion that God
recognized.Standards not of man but
of GOD… let us started with this:
A. Starting point of religion

God shouted for joy”. If anybody claim to be they were the first religion, then that
religion is wrong, you believed that God is the founder of the earth then you
will claimed that you were the first religion. How can a religion begun, when
God was not yet established the earth. The first religion was founded by God
Himself!

The
first authority of religion
Genesis 1:28 and
God blessed them, and God said unto them,
be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have
dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over every
living thing that move upon the earth.
The authority of the religion (organization of the righteous)
commanded Adam and Eve to replenish the earth, multiply, be fruitful. God had a plan for His first Human being creation to replenish the earth by what? by good righteous person that will obey GOD; then it will become a congregation of GOD. Who, in your
opinion the rightful authority to stand in the congregation of Angel and
mankind, God and Jesus or your pastor?

A. First teachings of a true religion
Genesis 2:16 and the LORD God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou may freely eat:
but of the tree of the knowledge of good and
evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eat thereof thou shall
surely die.
The first teaching of God to
man Adam, “thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat you shall surely die” the authority of a
religion must be sure of his teachings like what was God said to Adam- you
shall surely die…
D. The birth of the church of a religion here on earth
Malachi 1:11 for from the rising
of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall
be great among the Gentiles;
and in every places incense shall be
offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen,
said the LORD of hosts.
This is a manifestation that
the name of the Lord of Host will be great among the people who know not about the
Lord of the host. This will happen after
Saint Paul. For in the days of Saint Paul he did teach the gentiles (Paul)
to glorify the name of God and offered incense and offerings BUT, not in the place where the sun rises
and sets. Hence the pronouncement of the Lord to Malachi 1:11 is not yet
fulfilled.
E. Search
of religion that is the fulfillment of God’s prophecy…
Matthew_26:31 then said Jesus unto them, all ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
So the pronouncement of God that His name will be great in the east down to the west among the gentiles had
confirmed by our Lord Jesus by saying: the sheep of the flock shall be
scattered abroad.

The term rising of the sun originally
had a literal geographic meaning. It contrasted Asia with the cultures and
civilizations of Western Europe. Traditionally, this includes:

Of all these countries that as Wikipedia kindly provide in
our search you would notice that most of
those countries mentioned were not a Christian country before; except the Philippines… and the Philippines was not in the Southeast Asia but Far East Asia.

SORTING OUT THE RELIGION IN THE FAR EAST
Isaiah_24:15
Wherefore
glorify you the Lord in the fires, even
the name of the Lord God of Israel in
the isles of the sea.
Now,
with that verse in Isaiah 24:15 we are pretty sure that in the Far East, in the
isles of the sea; that which the Philippines also called – Isles of the
Philippines and it is true because the Philippines were composed of more than a
thousand island then: “God’s name shall
be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a
pure offering: for my name shall be
great among the heathen” So if we sort out the religions in the Far East like: Brunei, Cambodia, East
Timor,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam we will find out. Every religion that
does not originated in the Philippines were not the one pronounced by God. Only the Philippines will be
qualified. Other countries were all practicing other Gods in their respective
religions and not Christianity in majority of their members.

SORTING OUT THE RELIGIONS IN THE PHILIPPINES
Religion in the Philippines is marked by a majority of people being
adherents of the Christian faith as a result of Spanish cultural
influence. At least 92% of the population is Christian: about 81% belong to the Roman
Catholic Church while
about 11% belong to Protestant Christian denominations, such as Seventh-day Adventist Church, United Church of Christ in the
Philippines and Evangelicals. Politically, the Philippines is a secular
nation, with its
constitution guaranteeing separation of church and state, and
requiring government to respect all religious beliefs equally.
According to national religious
surveys, about 5.6% of the population of the Philippines is Muslim,
making Islam the second largest religion in the country.
Philippine traditional religions are still practiced by an estimated 2% of
the population, made up of many aboriginal and tribal groups.
Animism, folk
religion, and shamanism remain
present as undercurrents of mainstream religion, through the albularyo, the babaylan, and the manghihilot. Buddhism is practiced by 2% of the populations by
the Japanese people community, Japanese Filipino community, and
together with Taoism and Chinese folk religion is also dominant in Chinese communities.
There are smaller number of followers of Hinduism, and Judaism, and Baha'i. More
than 10% of the population is non-religious.
As the survey states: out of
the 92% of the population is Christian and 81% belong to the Roman Catholic
Church, in which does not conform to the pronouncement of God in Malachi 1:11
that it will begin “from the rising of the sun”, Roman Catholic Church started
at Rome, not in the Far East, in which the rising of the sun took place.
Now, we
are going to sort out the remaining 11% of the total Christian population in
the Philippines.

1. JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE
INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY
The
Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry (JMCIM) is an apostolic Pentecostal religious group from the
Philippines which believes particularly in the promotion of miracles and faith
in God for healing. JMCIM was founded by
evangelist Wilde E. Almeda on February 14, 1975.
This religion although founded here
in the Philippines cannot be our what we are looking for because it runs by the
faith of the Pentecostal and not conforming the date of its foundation in the
bible.
2. IGLESIA NI CRISTO
Iglesia ni Cristo (English: Church of Christ; Spanish: Iglesia de Cristo) is the indigenous-initiated religious organization in
the Philippines comprising roughly 2% of religious
affiliation in the Philippines. Felix Y. Manalo officially
registered the church
with the Philippine Government on July 27, 1914
and because
of this, most publications refer to him as
the founder of the church. Felix Manalo claimed that he was restoring the
church of Christ that was lost for 2,000
years. He died on April 12, 1963, aged 76.
The Iglesia ni Cristo is not to be considered a religion
that belongs to God. The reason was it does not title in God’s name, the prediction
said:

And the name Cristo means “Christ“. The declaration of God

3. PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENT CHURCH
The Philippine
Independent Church (officially Spanish: Iglesia Filipina Independiente,
IFI; colloquially known as the Aglipayan Church) is an independent Christian
denomination in the form of a national church in the Philippines. Its schism from the Catholic Church was
proclaimed in 1902 by the members of the Unión Obrera Democrática Filipina due to the alleged mistreatment of Filipinos by Spanish
priests and the execution of nationalist José Rizal under Spanish colonial
rule. Isabelo de los Reyes was one of the initiators of the separation, and
suggested that former Catholic priest Gregorio Aglipay be the head of the church. It is also known as the Aglipayan
Church after its first Obispo
Maximo Gregorio Aglipay.
We have to ignore the veracity of
this church because of its integration to the Catholic Church.
4. APOSTOLIC CATHOLIC CHURCH
The Apostolic
Catholic Church (ACC) is a catholic denomination founded in the 1980s in Hermosa, Bataan. It formally separated in the Roman
Catholic Church in 1992 when Patriarch Dr. John Florentine Teruel registered it as a Protestant and Independent Catholic denomination. Today, it has more than 5 million members
worldwide. The largest international congregations are in Japan, United States
and Canada.
We have
to ignore too the veracity of this church because of its integration to the Catholic
Church.
5. ORTHODOXY
Orthodoxy has been continuously present in the Philippines for more than 200 years. It is represented by two groups, by
the Exarchate of the Philippines (a jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople governed by the Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong
and Southeast Asia) Today, there are
about 560 Orthodox in the Philippines.
The merging of this church to
Constantinople make us conclude that this is not the church of God.
6. PROTESTANTISM
Protestantism arrived in the Philippines with the coming of the
Americans at the turn of the 20th century. In 1898, Spain lost the
Philippines to the United States. After a bitter fight for independence against
its new occupiers, Filipinos surrendered and were again colonized. The arrival
of Protestant American missionaries soon followed.
Protestant church organizations established
in the Philippines during the 20th century include the following:

These associations of protestants churches worldwide cannot be
of God by its very name: Protestant; and they have the name made by
their own in many different ways and names.
7. MEMBERS CHURCH OF GOD IN JESUS
CHRIST WORLDWIDE
Members
Church of God in Jesus Christ Worldwide (also known as Miembro
de la Iglesia de Dios en Todo el Mundo Inc.) is an independent Christian
organization with headquarters in the Philippines led by Wilfredo "Bro.
Willy" Santiago, one of the top evangelists of Eliseo Soriano. The group
split from the Members Church of God International (MCGI) last October 2009
over disputes over church leadership and changes in doctrines (such as Prostrating towards the east in
prayer).
The Members Church of God in Jesus Christ Worldwide is not to be considered
a religion that belongs to God. The reason was it does not title in God’s name
it is named after Christ (in
Jesus Christ) so it is verbally in Christ not in God, the prediction said:

and in every places incense shall be offered unto my name,
and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen,

The declaration of God is in “my name” and Christ is not
the name of the Lord. Also, worldwide is inappropriate to integrate because it
is not registered even in Hongkong, so how can we claim it is worldwide?
8. MORMON
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in the Philippines was founded
during the Spanish–American War in 1898. Two men from Utah who were members of the United States
artillery battery, and who were also set apart as missionaries by the Church
before they left the United States, preached while stationed in the
Philippines. Missionary work picked up after World War II, and in 1961 the
Church was officially registered in the Philippines. In 1969, the Church had spread to
eight major islands and had the highest number of baptisms of any area in the
Church. A temple was built in 1984 which located in Quezon City and another in
Cebu City, completed in 2010.

MOST HOLY CHURCH OF GOD
IN CHRIST JESUS
The
Most Holy Church of God in Christ Jesus is an independent Christian denomination officially registered in the Philippines by Teofilo D.
Ora in May 1922. The
Church claims to restore the visible Church founded in Jerusalem by Christ
Jesus. It has spread to areas including California, USA; Calgary, Canada, Dubai, UAE and other Asian countries. The Church
will be celebrating its centennial anniversary in May 2022.
The
church was founded by Bishop Teofilo D.
Ora in 1922. He, along with Avelino Santiago and Nicolas Perez, split off from
the Iglesia ni
Cristo (Church of
Christ) in 1922. They initially called their church Iglesia
Verdadera de Cristo Hesus (True Church of Christ Jesus).
This church if you will inspect its
entitlement had many churches in its entirety, but (the Church) is the most
holy as it claimed (most holy church) the other church of God is not holy? So
it is miss-titled and founded in Christ Jesus as it implies. The date of the
foundation of the church is also not in compliance with God’s statement (May
1922). Do you think that God established His church on that date?

CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS, THE PILLAR AND
SUPPORT OF THE TRUTH
However,
following a religious doctrine controversy, Nicolas Perez split off from the group and registered an offshoot
called Iglesia ng Dios kay Kristo Hesus, Haligi at Suhay ng Katotohanan (Church of God in Christ Jesus, the Pillar and
Support of the Truth). Teofilo D. Ora was bishop until his death in 1969. He was
officially succeeded by Bishop Salvador C. Payawal who led the church until 1989. Subsequent
bishops were Bishop Gamaliel T. Payawal (1989 to 2003) and Bishop Isagani N.
Capistrano (2003–present). It was during Gamaliel Payawal's tenure when the
church was renamed as Most Holy Church of God in Christ Jesus.
This Church of God title is correct but have to
be modified because of the “in Christ Jesus, the Pillar and Support of the
Truth”,
and seems to intricate to God’s purpose and intent that it’s
members were not in the same accord with the bible’s teachings, because it was
founded by Teofilo Ora. Then Nicolas Perez split and founded another church
by his own after synchronize with Teofilo Ora and later the church was renamed
as Most Holy Church of God in Christ Jesus.

SIMPLIFYING THE SEARCH
To
simplify our search, we are only searching for a religion that agree and be
consistent with thing that the Lord God pronounced; His Name will be great among the gentiles.

Those verses were very
specifically pinning down that the name of the Lord is as much of importance
when we are searching our salvation. The criteria of a true religion depend
first by the name of that religion.
Hence the name of that
church that is within the said religion shall be in God’s name. God also
emphasized that within the house that built by His people in His Name (2Samuel
7:13); His Name will be praise, offered incense in every place (Malachi 1:11)
and they shall call on my Name (Zechariah 13:9) and God will hear them and He
will say without hesitation “IT IS MY PEOPLE”.
And they will say “THE LORD IS MY GOD”.
Within those parameters we
